Hey there Bagel Lovers, Mama Bross here, Ok so it’s maybe a bit much to suggest that you’re all Bagel Lovers, but you’re taking the time to read this article so I’m assuming your pretty into them… like you’ve not swiped right yet – soooo…. you already had your fingers in the bagel hole – is what I’m saying… And if you’re not a full convert then let me be the first to congratulate you on sticking with this so far and let me convince you further, why a Bross Bagel should be the next thing you boast about having experienced at a social gathering, in order to boost your cool-foodie-who-knows-wtf-he’s-talking-about credentials.

As much as I would love to claim ALL the praise for the bagel deliciousness that we provide – I have to share the acclaim with our outstanding suppliers. All of our ingredients are individually sourced from companies who share our value of knocking it out the park with both their quality and ethical approach to producing the very best at what they produce…

Take Welch Fishmongers – a family run fishmonger just down the road in Newhaven that have been supplying the best fish and shellfish around Edinburgh for the last 60 years. Our butchers, Findlays of Portobello are another family run business whose black pudding alone, has attracted more people to Portobello than the beach. We pay just as much attention to the quality of our vegan alternatives with the excellent Sgaia’s Vegan Meats (sgaiafoods.co.uk) providing us with a range of lauded meat and fish alternatives. Aye Pickled are the award-winning company that hand-makes all our tantalising range of pickles and ferments and just when you thought honey couldn’t get sweeter Mio`d Raw Honey are the fanatical bee experts who specialise in rare, high-quality crafted honeys that we use exclusively in our baking and adorning. Last but not least – Breadshare the community bakery and social enterprise that keeps on giving. It’s these heroes of the hole that freshly bake all our exclusive tasty bagel range from scratch, in-shop.
